How we celebrated the European Day of Languages!

We played games, brainstormed on reasons to learn foreign languages and how to make it easier, we created flags, learnt names of countries, nationalities amd how Good Morning is translated in several languages. We found out what languages are spoken in our school after conducting a survey and studied maps with information about languages spoken in Europe. We learnt tongue-twisters, animal sounds and unique words.We held an exhibition and invited the whole school to see it. Given our limited time and means, we did our best and had fun honouring linguistic diversity! See for yourselves! And there is more coming up...

On 26th September we celebrate the European Day of Languages!

Yes, there is a Day for European Languages! It is an opportunity to learn about language diversity in our continent and in our school and celebrate it! Do you know how many languages are spoken in Europe? Which one is most widespread? Which ones are spoken in our school? Why do we learn foreign languages? Let's find out! After all, languages are fun!!!

Βραβευτήκαμε για το πρόγραμμα etwinning "Dancing In English - Dancing Beyond The Borders" !!!

Το πρόγραμμα etwinning Dancing in English - Dancing beyond the borders που εκπόνησαν κατά το τρίτο τρίμηνο της σχολικής χρονιάς 2014-2015 τα παιδιά του τμήματος Δ1 του 6ου Δημοτικού Σχολείου Πολίχνης σε συνεργασία με ελληνικό και ισπανικό σχολείο απέσπασε ετικέτες ποιότητας για τις διδάσκουσες Βάλια Σαζακλίδου (Φυσική Αγωγή) και Μαρία Ιωζίδου (Αγγλικά) και ραβεία για τους μαθητές και την guest dancer μας.
